GETTING STARTED WITH PLC PROGRAMMING

 GETTING STARTED WITH PLC PROGRAMMING

WHAT IS PLC?

PLC  stands for  Programmable Logic Controller. PLC is a system that constantly monitors input devices in order to perform the task based on customized programming to control the state of output devices connected to it.

WHAT ARE PLC COMPONENTS?

A PLC must have the following components:
  • Processor
  • Mounting
  • Input Assembly
  • Output Assembly
  • Power Supply
  • Programming Unit

HOW DOES PLC PROGRAMMING WORKS ?

A PLC programming is a technique with which the PLC operates.

For a machine, the input devices of a PLC accept signals that are sent to the PLC through the connector rails which are then stored in the memory bits of PLC. The CPU then processes the instructions took from the memory in order to control the output devices.
